A 1920s corner shophouse, stripped back to its cement tiles and cengal beams over two years. Swipe through the courtyard, the five-foot way, a room and the roof.

Eighteen rooms, no two floor plans alike
Every room was a different part of the old house — the front hall, the back kitchen, the attic where the family dried laundry. We kept the walls where they were and worked around them.

A 1920s shophouse, put back by hand
Two years of work: lime plaster re-skimmed, cengal beams spliced not replaced, the original cement floor tiles lifted, cleaned and relaid. The five-window front is exactly as it was.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 11am. Arriving early off a morning flight? Leave your bags at the desk, have a coffee in the courtyard and start the day on foot.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival for a full refund. Inside 7 days we hold one night; inside 48 hours the full stay is charged. Book direct and we will always try to move your dates first.
Is the kitchen halal? Can you handle dietary needs?
Yes — the kitchen is fully halal, no alcohol is used in cooking, and breakfast has vegetarian options every day. Tell us about allergies or other needs when you book and we will sort it.
Is it suitable for families with children?
Yes. The Long House and the Verandah Suite both take a family of four to five, cots and high chairs are free, and the courtyard is a safe place for small children to roam. Note there are steep timber stairs up to the Attic Loft.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
We book a private car from Penang International Airport (about 35 minutes) at cost. There is no parking at the hotel, but we hold a list of secure car parks two minutes' walk away.
How do I book?
Send your dates, number of guests and room preference by WhatsApp or email. We reply within a few hours, hold the room for 24 hours, and take a one-night deposit to confirm. No channel manager, no surprise fees.
Is the hotel accessible?
The courtyard, kopi bar and two ground-floor rooms are step-free from the street. The heritage building has no lift, so the upper floors and the roof are reached by original staircases. Call us and we will talk through the options.
